Cavitus is awarded a Climate Ready grant from the Commonwealth Government for funding both its pat. pend. high power ultrasonic grape color and flavor extraction improvement system and its pat. pend. high power ultrasonic fermentation enhancement system. These solutions are designed to reduce capital costs for production processes in the industry and to reduce energy and water usage.

Hosted by the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and the California Association of Winegrape Growers, this annual event is the largest wine and grape show in the US and attracted 14,000 visitors from all over the world. As one of the wine industry?s premier gatherings, the Unified Symposium represents a vital platform to focus on the issues shaping today, while interfacing the topics and trends shaping the future of grapegrowing and winemaking.
 
       
 
 
Cavitus has concluded the first close of its current equity funding by raising capital from exisiting shareholders. Funds will be used to gain early sales of proprietary solutions for the wine industry, expand its presence in foam management with its licensed UDS system, continue to enhance its patents in high power ultrasound applications for the F&B industry and hire key staff to support the Company's expansion plans in key international markets.

Cavitus announces it will exhibit at Anuga FoodTec, in Cologne, Germany on March 10-13 2009. Anuga FoodTec is one of the world's most important trade fairs for food and drink technology. Provisor, the premier national research consortium providing facilities, equipment and services for research into variables affecting wine qu ality, style and price throughout the value chain, has invited Cavitus to present at its workshop on "Process Improvements for Profitability" during The 13th Australian Wine Industry Technical Confe rence (AWITC) in July. Cavitus' presentation will focus on the application of high power ultrasonics to clean and disinfect barrels and planks. The triennial AWITC is the biggest wine technical con ference in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting more than 1700 researchers, winemakers and viticulturists from all over the world.

Cavitus and University of South Australia sign MOU to collaborate on setting-up the High Power Ultrasonics Alliance at the Mawson Lakes campus, in Adelaide. The Alliance will act as the hub for applied research on HPU in South Australia and will initially focus on wine, food and beverage, and extraction industry projects.
